Cranberries are small shrubs from 20 to 50cm tall growing in temperate regions. Their name refers both the plant and fruit. Well cultivated, this plant can live over a hundred years. The United States, Canada and Quebec are the main producers. Cranberries usually eat in compote or jam but can also be eaten raw if you do not like the acidity! The cranberries are rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants. Their many medicinal properties make it a very consumed fruit worldwide.
